About the Work
About the Edition
This music was written for my son, Matthew, when he was an 8th-grade member of the Missoula, Montana All-City Winds. Instrumentation was limited to flutes, oboes, clarinets, bass clarinet, bassoon, alto and tenor saxophones, horns, and percussion. This composition offers an uncomplicated set of variations for a good beginner euphonium soloist.
