About the Work
About the Edition
This single-movement piece has a hard edged driven quality. The character is both mournful and powerfully angry. The Montana Music designation, which I used for a number of pieces, came about during my early years of living in Montana. I felt a strong energy in the land, a warning voice, not a quiet one.
