About the Edition
In a Twinkling is a short work that explores the process of revealing what is hidden. It is a happy, celebratory piece that reflects that there is good in the midst of every situation no matter how difficult it may appear. Sometimes it is hidden, as the tune “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” is largely hidden throughout the piece. But in the end it makes itself known. During the 2020 pandemic I was struck by how much positivity I saw when I looked for it and my thoughts went to how situations can turn around. When we look for the good, it turns out to have been right in front of us the whole time.
