This is a quiet and inward piece using a poem by the German novelist Gunther Grass as inspiration. The poem is from his novel, The Flounder, and suggests that men over 40 need significant consolation(!) The rhythmic structure and phrasing of the piece are intricate and advanced Classical guitar technique is needed.
